Stephanie enjoying a Japanese-style meal

The Edamo story

A bowl Stephanie missed.

When Stephanie moved to Bengaluru, she missed the simple ritual of hot edamame: salted pods, eaten by the handful. Fresh pods were difficult to find, so that small craving became the beginning of Edamo.

We are growing the first season near Bengaluru so more tables can have that same salt-and-pop moment, close to home.

Four minutes. That's the recipe.

  1. 1

    Steam

Four minutes in steam or boiling water. No longer.

  2. 2

    Salt

While the pods are still hot—and more than feels sensible.

  3. 3

    Pop

Squeeze the bean out. Keep the pod for the bowl.
